Kidlington roads congested as OUFC heads to Wembley

Congratulations to OUFC on their promotion to the championship. It was a well-deserved win enjoyed by so many. It highlights to us, yet further however, that the Triangle is completely unsuitable for a successful club with growth aspirations. The southern end of Kidlington came to a standstill yesterday with ramifications for the wider road network. And this was simply due to a proportion of the Oxford fans making the journey from Oxford Parkway to Wembley. Imagine what chaos road closures at the Triangle would do. The lack of safety plans noted by Thames Valley Police and others - including how to safely evacuate without fans spilling onto neighbouring roads and segregate home and away fans - are increasingly salient with a promotion to the Championship, and games attracting more significant numbers of away fans.
