The Decision Notice for OUFC’s proposed stadium, issued on 26 February 2026, includes a condition stipulating that that there should be no vegetation clearance or ground works until a Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP: Biodiversity) has been submitted to, and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority.
However, despite there being no CEMP in place, clearance has taken place on the site by Elcot Environmental Ltd.
Sadly, we are unsurprised because the club’s attitude to biodiversity on the site has been dismissive from the outset.
Our solicitor is writing to OUFC to ask what further works it intends to carry out before the judicial review has concluded and we may consider seeking an injunction to prevent further irreversible damage to the site if necessary.
