URGENT- Call to action- UPDATED

FRIENDS OF STRATFIELD BRAKE: WE NEED YOUR HELP!
THE LOCAL COMMUNITY IN OUR AREA IS BEING IGNORED:
PLEASE ACT BY 20 JANUARY

On 11th January we wrote asking everyone to send two emails demanding Oxfordshire County Council hold a proper public consultation before deciding whether to lease 'the triangle' of land to Oxford United.

Thanks to everyone who has already written. We've seen some excellent messages !
The campaign is going well - please add your voice.

We are sending this corrected and updated message for three reasons:
  1. To ask everyone who has already emailed the County Council to send a COPY to Cllr Andrew Gant at : Andrew.Gant@Oxfordshire.gov.uk
  2. To add Cllr Andrew Gant's email address to the 'who to email' instructions
  3. To STRESS that we need people write and demand the County Council hold a proper local consultation BEFORE agreeing to take discussions with OUFC about the triangle any further.
The County Council want to abdicate their responsibility to consult with the public over important strategic decisions. Liz Leffman, the leader of the Council has been responding to people by saying that further consultation on the details can wait until the club's final proposals reach the Cherwell District planning application stage. We need to hold them to account. TELL LIZ LEFFMAN THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH

The rest of this message is unchanged - it explains why it is important and what you need to do.
If you've not written yet please find a few minutes to send an email saying that the County Council needs to consult with the local communities in Kidlington, Gosford & Water Eaton, North Oxford and surrounding areas over the Triangle site.
